Map Numbers (WAS: exit & death rooms)

Post by HiGHeRHiGH69 »

v1.11p beta 13

heres the problem i get when ever i exit or hang from any of the new rooms i created, it pops me back to temple healer. i have tried exit and death rooms both zero and i have entered the same room number for exit and left death at 0 and even made up a room 0 to exit to. but it still wont stay in that room. my map numbers are 19,21,22. i have looked at other rooms in the realm with varying map numbers and they have zeros in these fields yet it doesnt happen in those rooms?

what can i do to solve this?

You can't use those maps, you can only use 1-17 (maybe 18?).

hmmm,

well you can use them, cause they are in, are you saying it wont work right if not a map 1-17? the exit room thing? so i should make all my areas to 1-17 map, and then what do i still need to add exit and death room numbers or will it auto go back to that room?

The problem with maps other than 1-17 (excluding map 10 because that map will do the same thing) is that they are not properly recognized. Therefor if you disconnect from there, you will not enter there. And so on and so forth. Just use the maps allotted (1-17) and edit them as you wish (you can assign them new death room numbers if you want) and connect them to the existing metroized realm.

You can go into the hundred thousands in room numbers, so just stick with the existing maps and go way above Metro's numbers.

you dont have to redo them. export them all to an export file then use the record number changer (new in v1.6) to change the map.

when you do use high numbers, make sure you pad the rooms in between with blank rooms. see this thread for the reasons why: http://www.forumshq.com/showthread.php?t=4752
