Cars equipted with computers inside components will need to "learn", which is basically like when you smack your head and can't remember anything. It'll involve a shop hooking up a scan tool to your cars computer system and just telling it what it's supposed to do, such as when to shift up and down and so on and so forth. It's a straight-forward procedure that should only have your vehicle tied up for half a day. This is only assuming that this was your only problem. Hope this helps you out a little.
