(NOT ff7:ac related)
lately, i been seeing alot of my old friends, ex-friends, old aquaintances, show up at my work place and order food (i am an order taker during the graveyard shift for jack-in-the-box)
ive thought of one simple thing for that... "Remnants of the past, should stay in the past."
i hate being known by so many people sometimes, because i dont remember them, or because i cant go out and have fun with them (partially because they all have their own lives, and i wouldnt wanna intrude.... and partially because, i dont go out period)
i dunno, its good seeing them sometimes, and yet, something feels wrong or something is missing

There's only one thing you can do when you're always running into people you know:
Sell drugs. :)
Sell drugs. :)

that is one of the reasons why I hate living here. I don't WANT to run into these people, frankly because people are judgemental. We are grateful to be out of highschool but in all actuallyity that kind of mindset rarely changes. I am still basically the same girl I was in high school. I had a mohawk and wore a biker jacket. Well this past december I just shaved off all my hair... I am still wierd and opinionated. I am sure I still scare a lot of the people I went to school with.
If I do run into people, I just make my small talk, smile, and make my way somewhere else. I know at least 1-2 thousand people here... so I just tend to stay home (have to anyway... I have a kid.)

If you really don't want to see them, why put on a facade and act like you're interested? If I see someone I don't want to see, and they approach me, I tell them straight out why I don't want to see them. "Remember that one time you borrowed fifty dollars and never paid me?" Things like that. The more you put up the nice smile and the pleasant conversation, the more you're going to have to do it again when you run into these people. I don't consider it rude to tell someone how you feel, I think people should stop trying to be something that they aren't. I'm not gonna avoid someone or walk in a different direction because I don't want to see them, I'm gonna let them know I don't want to see them. Who gives a shit anyway? Obviously if you don't want to see them, you don't care about them, and therefore if you are perceived as rude, then you shouldn't care.
If you're upset because you see these people with their own lives and you are jealous because you want to go out with them, but you can't because you don't want to intrude or you don't go out, then why do you have these feelings? If you don't want to go out, why do you want to go out? Be true to yourself and you'll be much better off. When you make contradictions in the most basics of life (ie: running into people), you confuse your mind and soon you'll lose track of what is really important to you.

I used to feel that way back in the BBS days... that is how I got my nickname of "cunt" and ran the bitch forum. But now I believe fake it until you make it. Smiling and letting go of the past makes me feel better. I mainly don't want to run into people because of bad memories... not of them... but of a time in my life. It isn't their fault and they do not deserve my rudeness. If someone wrongs me... they know it. Unfortunately many people do not know the kind of life I led and are associated without their knowledge. So yes, I will put on my smile, push away the past and try to be there in the moment. If I feel it is too much I make an excuse to go another way. It isn't their problem it is mine... why should I drag others into it?

how do you let go of the past?
i find that really hard to do, specially with my "Sins", something that i cant forgive myself for, something that i just cant forget, something that i just cant let go
in an unrelatedness to the original topics topic, how does one, live for themselves? i myself, have lived for other people, for the ones that i love and cherish, for my friends
