I was disappointed right after it aired, but after some discussion with AA, I think I like how it ended. With the flash-back of Bobby telling Tony when you die, everything just goes black, I am pretty sure the writers were telling us Tony was wacked at the very closing of the ep, with the total blackness and silence. He never saw it coming. AA brought up a good point, also. Tony spent the ep tying up all his loose ends. He got his children squared away, made peace with Junior and Janice, found jobs for his crew...it was like he knew, subconsciously he was living out his last day. I plan on re-watching it, but I am leaning towards...



Pretty good ending, all in all. The writers have never tied the storylines up in pretty bows. I like that they expect the viewers to be smart enough to draw their own conclusions.
