Ever wonder how some websites, when you save the url in your favorites folder, display a small custom icon rather than the default web browser icon? Well, if you use photoshop there is an easy to follow guide on how to create one for your own website.
You MUST download and install the .ico format first, or you won't be able to save it in the icon format. This is free and you can download it at http://www.telegraphics.com.au/sw/.

a free online service @ http://www.html-kit.com/e/favicon.cgi to convert to .ico for ya
You either don't need to name it favicon.ico OR each HTML page can have its OWN icon. Some servers don't support the ico.
Maybe people would like to submit a favicon for ForumsHQ...

That is a great idea to have people submit a favicon for forumshq. The server my website is on does not support the favicon but my day job's website does. I found it fun to make one. Hope people find it fun to make one for forumshq.
