Just picked up a 1gig stick of Mushkin PC3200 1GB From Newegg (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820146190) for a great deal, only was about $93 with shipping and handeling. Mushkin is a good brand name and ill let everybody know how it works when i get it. Timings arent as tight as they could be but im not going for stressing my system.

Socket 754 doesnt support dual channel. The benefits of dual channel are only about a 15% margin at best from what I've seen. I loved my NF7s V2 tho with dual channel corsair 2x256 PC2700



Went with the mushkin because i wanted a single stick solution otherwise i would have gone with OCZ or Corsair (my fav brand)



As for Patriot, i hear good things about them occasionally but i want to see what someone i KNOW who uses it has to say about them. Do you use Patriot Syntax?

Do you use Patriot Syntax?currently I have OCZ in my laptop and Kingston HyperX in my desktop. But friends of mine have patriot and I have only heard good things. Mainly, there is nothing wrong with the mushkin, but I would have gone for CAS 2 timings and a heat spreader.

True, but like i said im not going to be stressing my system and what i have is CAS 3 anyway. Mainly all my PC is used for is Doom 3, HL2 BF2 and yu-gi-oh online when i feel like playing it.



Thanks for teh suggestion tho, i was kinda eye balling the patriot RAM but i wanted a single stick solution and timings and latency werent really an issue, i just need more overhead :)
