Relationship Shit

Post by IslaScotts »

Ok I have a question... for curiosity sake I suppose. For those of you who are "alone"... do you think you are destined.. meant to be.. fated to be alone, or do you think that one day someone will come along. The reason I ask, is because I find my self the happiest when I am not dating anyone. I don't know if that is because I am extremely introverted or because that is my destiny. Sure it sucks being a single mother and the only reason I would want anyone around is so they could like go to the store for me, or watch my daughter for a night so I can relax and get some non-mommy time. The little things, ya know. I hate living with other people.. I absolutely cannot stand it.

You might say you miss the sex... but I can get off using my own hand. Sex is only really pleasant when it is someone you are absolutely head over heels for, I mean totally and completely in love with. So I piss on sexual experiences with random, or less known persons. I have better things and more entertaining things to do with my time other than thinking or lusting over sex. Sex is pish posh anyway.. give me mental or emotional stimulation over sexual stimulation anyday.. and quite frankly I can get that stimulation from other people besides romantic interests.

So I have come to the conclusion that if I am happiest alone, I can get what I need through other venues, and can do without some of the very few conviences that having someone around affords me.. then I am destined to be alone... because that is what makes me happy.

Any opinions/stories/experiences anyone has to share.. shrug.

Not to judge, but it sounds more like depression than conclusion you have come to.

Most healthy and strong relationships seem to come from the type of interactions you speak of after drawing the line that they are no sex personal relationships (friends).

Not much can build from "damn, that is hot! I am going to tap me that ass!" types of relationships unless one is very lucky to later find a true friend too. That is rare, how many "true" friends have you found in you entire life time? One can have lots of friends and very very few true friends. It does seem though most people somehow blindly trust any dork they bed can be converted to "true friend" along the way if only enough effort is made.

Realisticly I think most know the odds are not good, but still they found a BF or GF (basicly any that will put up with one's shit and that is not repulsing :P) and MUST, even to the point of obsessiveness, find thier true friend and partner now in this new lover who had none of those qualifications to start with. It has been my experience it does not work that way, ever.

Are you destined to be alone? Nah. Will you be? Perhaps, it is highly unlikly though. Are you destined to find perfect love and friendship in whichever lover you take? Nope. You are just destined to struggle like the rest of us *grin* That includes times of not seeking or accepting a lover. It is time for one to think, process and reevaluate ones choices. It is normal, an ending to nothing but, perhaps old ways that always seemed to make one miserable and unsatisfied.

Perhaps it is just your time to step back and find you were approching some things backwards or twisted in selection of lovers that you came to find you could not stand arround you 24/7.

Not much to go on from the little info you provided but maybe it is about "wooking fa lub in 'll te wong pwayses" ie: it is your time to not look, enjoy life within your group of friends and maybe, just maybe one in the end turns out to be the lover and true friend you never imagined really could ever exist.

Sex is sex, if you got there through lust great, hey I am not talking down on lust, it has been very very good to me.... but understand the attraction was just that, trying later to make it something else seldom ever is going to work no matter how hard both try. If the attraction was close and true friendship (not meaning a friend you always thought was hot) a partner may well be found down the road. Not always, but you have better odds than lust alone being the attraction that started a "relationship".

Maybe you have just grown. Understand now "I am going to tap me that ass!" produced nothing you really wanted long term. In any case you seem far to young yet to start claiming you understand anything is destined for you in your life: You have SOOOO much more pain and heartache to go through *smirk* There. Feel better now *giggle*?

Ripper you have too much time on your hands to think about shit like that.

There really is only one true use for a woman....... I need someone to do my laundry (snicker). Sex I can always pay for that, at least she'll put on a good act like she's enjoying herself.

Do I really sound like I have been scorned one too many times?

A guy can only have his http://www.moparstyle.net/forums/images/smilies/broken_heart.gif ripped out one too many times, before he becomes a little bitter.

Man that is just rude.........

I wouldn't want him touchin my laundry, he might get his jollies off......

I'm bitter because after spending 10 years with the same woman, some serious nasty shit developed that I aint gonna go into. The end result was she broke up with me, and busted my heart.

Umm if you already don't know.. most girls don't think like that. And I am so far from that end of the spectrum it isn't even funny.

It does seem though most people somehow blindly trust any dork they bed can be converted to "true friend" along the way if only enough effort is made.

Well of the 5 people i have slept with, 3 of them are true friends. And it took no effort to stay friends.

Sex is sex, if you got there through lust great, hey I am not talking down on lust, it has been very very good to me.... but understand the attraction was just that, trying later to make it something else seldom ever is going to work no matter how hard both try.

Can't say I have ever lusted after someone, realistically, and then made a "relationship" out of it. Sure i lust after Russel Crowe.. he is a hottie... that is all it amounts to.. idle fantasies. I think by my pictures you have mistaken me for something I am so completely not. I take sex EXTREMELY seriously, however I do not take dating seriously.

Maybe you have just grown. Understand now "I am going to tap me that ass!" produced nothing you really wanted long term. I have never "tapped someones ass" before in my life, and never plan on it. I was in a 6 year relationship, then a year long, then a 3 year long marriage... so on and so forth. I don't waste my time on piddly shit such as "attraction".. like i had said in my original post... fuck sex.. give me mental stimulation. I am not looking for anyone, haven't been, and actually make it a point not to. When you actively look you see things that are not really there because you crave intamacy so badly. I always am friends with them first because I never consider anything else happening unless i start to grow fond of them... that is why i am friends with most of my ex's. Hell iNViSiGOD and I dated way back in the day like 10 years ago... we have been friends for almost 11 now.. we were friends first and we are freinds now... he is my best friend in the world. It bothers me that you believe age has anything to with life. My ex-husband is 33 years old and has the emotional IQ of a 15 year old. He is 8 years my senior yet, I am far beyond him by many years. I am a 24 year old divorced single mother.. but that doesn't say very much about me at all, now does it?

For me personally, I would rather be friends with a woman, than get into the mental anguish that surrounds the bullshit involved in a relationship.

Sex is not a toy, anyone that thinks sex doesn't have to have a meaning is full of shit, regardless of how you try to convince yourself, your still full of shit if you think *a fuck* means nothing.

Actually, with the negitivity that drove your first post it says alot. Life is about how one uses hard times and pain to gain wisdom and overcome. You seem to have come to a totally different conclution, all well and good I guess, I am just glad I didn't draw your existance, I don't see lots of happiness and person victory to be found there.

And actually most women do think that way, they tend to try to hide it from men though. Most do know right away whether or not there will ever be possiblity for sex with a man they just met. You are different? That doesn't suprise me. 24, divorced, single, mom and let me guess, meds for emotional stability (bipolar) too right?

Relationships are what they are, even failed they do not have to be viewed so negitivly and without room for humor was my only real point. " tap that ass" was to draw a smile, it is not a term (regardless of how women 'think') within female vocabulary to describe such things... that was the point of using it.

24 and depressing doesn't 24+ years make, even where one claims it is "seriousness"

>>> In any case you seem far to young yet to start claiming you understand anything is destined for you in your life

You need a sense of humor, too much in life you let "bother you" if that no brainer did. It is simple you have satisticly well over 50yrs more on this earth. You are not 1/3 the way along your path, but wish to make choices, now, based on over all destiny, to affect ever more the remainder of your life? That doesn't seem a great deal self defeating to you? Not even with your vast all knowing 24yrs of collected wisdom(s)?

Actually, with the negitivity that drove your first post it says alot.

Negativity... did you actually read it, or did you TRY to "read between the lines." Negativity would be more of a whining.. oh no one loves me.. im just going to give up.. and woe is me crap. Which if you actually read it, was not. Not once did i ever mention being unhappy or thinking my life is shit... cause I'm not and it isn't.

Umm most of the women I know are not whores, so they don't think about "tapping someones ass." And no, I am not any meds.. if you want to know my mental history.. i was born with childhood OCD (Obsessive Compulisive Disorder) which has now but 10% left.. because it is usually a disorder you can grow out of. Which I have grown out of, so no need for meds on that one. I am not bi-polar... but thank you for your concern. It is scary that you think you can determine who a person is with so little. By now you should have the Nobel Peace Prize for being able to diagnose mental disorders without even having to meet/see/hear/talk to them. You have a true gift and I hope you get a lot of money for it. **cough** sarcasm **cough** (In case your gift overpowers your other intuitions of course.)

Relationships are what they are, even failed they do not have to be viewed so negitivly and without room for humor was my only real point.

Umm i didn't mention any of my previous relationships.. so your point was mute and pre-emptive at best. Secondly... once again there was no negativity in my orginal post. If i come off as a know-it-all bitch.. it's because i am. The only negativity i can discern from my post is you equate being alone as negative and i equate being alone as positive. End of story... mute... fin.

You need a sense of humor, too much in life you let "bother you" if that no brainer did.

I do have a sense of humor, and if I wanted this post to be humorous i would have either put the "tone" that way or would have put it in the jokes section. But I didn't. And if you do not think i have a sense of humor.. i guess you missed this post of mine:

Well statiscally speaking, I do not have over 50 years left to live. I could die tomorrow... next year or 5 years from now. Should i try to make myself happy, or conform to the mold of others? Should I live today and make myself happy today or wait for a happier tomorrow? That seems utterly futile, because for all intent and purposes there will possibly be no tomorrow.

Oh, and BTW for my post i had in mind nuns.. yes nuns. Because nuns i believe are destined to be "alone." Yes, they are married to God.. but lets face it God doesn't allow nuns some of the benefits of being married to someone. So they are negative? They are wrong for equating a life of solitude to happiness? What about monks, what about scientists that spend their entire lives in some remote village without anyone romantically? They are being negative? Not to mention the people who have "normal" jobs but spend the rest of their time doing what they love.. what they were intended to do. Just because they would rather lead that life even though it gives them no monetary value.. they are negative? I am sorry not everyone fits in your bi-polar-if-they-prefer-being-alone mold.

(Here is some humor for ya...)

Signing off as the negative, bi-polar nun.. good day and god bless
