ok just so yall know i dont play with myself ans its not a joke i am seriously thinking of quiting mud cuz everyone who mkales a new board copies someone eles. nothing original and if it start original someone corrupts it and it eventually becomes lame. so if someone with an origianl idea plz let me know and shadow 2 words for ya-----BLOW ME------

well, I am working (slowly) on a total conversion. Heh, still in design/basic coding stages, but will be interesting. Going to be futuristic based.

Majormud regardless of who does what, (metro included) everything is a copy from the original. Majormud itself isn't original, it is loosely based from TeleArena.
Ok so you want original try this: http://www.aardmud.org/ or http://www.evarayn.com/ Just so you know, mega will not work with these muds, they use a java applet.

Shadow does make a point you may benifit from. Try other code bases, they have more control over larger types of changes, having access to the full open source code. There are quite a few different bases. Jump over to mudconnect.com, do a search for your likes, and go run some new bases for a while if you are getting bored with the edited MajorMuds *shrug*

I know more about mud in general than you ever will, as I have been playing mud ingeneral for a very long time.
Out of all that I have played, the ones I like the most are Circle Mud, or Diku, Diku is the oldest it is the original Multi User Dungeon (outside of D&D and AD&D).
You will want a client called ZMUD( http://www.zuggsoft.com/zuggsoft/zuggsoft.htm ) or GMUD ( http://www.candyland.compu-aid.net/gmud.htm ), Megamud wont work as it is designed for Majormud only.
Here is a couple of places to get you started. If you want a cough cough copy of Zmud, PM me.
