Remote Updates to MajorMUD?

Ok, I think I have found a good solution where I can afford to run a board. My parents use The internet for email, and to play a few java based games here and there. I just moved from there, and my cable modem is still hooked up, and they use AOL. I have talked to them, and They are going to pay on the Cable Modem what they payed for AOL, and get rid of AOL, so the connection will cost me about 12$/month. I will probably run my Wg/MajorMUD from there, since there will be no lag from there usage. Is there a way I can keep WG running from there, but install the updates from my apartment and keep the MajorMUD online?? Thanks

Ahh...Could I like FTP and put the files on the pc and just update it from the majormud menu?

no, you can turn the server off and put the files on, but how will you start up the server again? unless you want to overwrite the files while they are being used... (not recommended...)

then just zip your files and msg them across to yourself with aim or icq or something.

I know there is a way to update WG/MajorMUD while the server is running...I just dont remember how to do it.

you run "apply update file" from majormud's sysop menu. or you can just copy the update file into the WG directory and on the next cleanup the edits will be put in.
