ok here is my dilemma ... as i indicated in this (http://www.forumshq.com/showthread.php?t=6223) thread, the v1.11o databases have introduced a new structure for the rooms database. so far i cannot find a workound that will effeciently allow me to support both database structures (that of v1.11i to v1.11n and v1.11o). Beings that v1.11o contains a much anticipated regen fix and people will eventually be upgrading to it, would it be a major deal if future releases of NMR were compatible with v1.11o+ only?
if i can't do it i can't do it and this may be the way it has to be anyway, but i'm wondering how much i have to pull my hair out trying to find a workaround before giving up.
thanks,
syn

if thats what u gotta then thats what u gotta do... i suggest just starting a new version for o+... but one thing that would be real lame is if we couldnt export from the old versions to o... at least from n to o...

I say make the new version of nmr do just 1.11o for now.... I know at some point you will figure out a way to make it do everything, but don't lose sleep over it.
If there is anyway I can help, let me know!

you could export MMUD v1.11n with NMR v1.43 and then import into MMUD v1.11o with NMR v1.44.

Re: Important: Need your opinion for next NMR release.
Having two directories would resolve the problem. So not that important. For anyone running multi muds/versions. All I would suggest if you add new features and their is demand to implent them where applicable for both versions. Time to start Nightmare Redux 2.0 anyway :punch:

You said it wasn't possible to be 1.11i, 1.11n, and 1.11o formats..how about just n and o?
I'm personally not upgrading to o..mainly because it nerfs a lot of shit, and I'm private so regen will prolly never die w/ the amount of peeps on..

actually i said v1.11i to v1.11n (the structures are the same for v1.11i through v1.11n). so no, it can't be v1.11n and v1.11o.
about v1.11o "nerfing" shit ... you do have to power of customizing the game. you can "un-nerf" anything you want.

Yeah, but I'd rather not spend hours going through and figuring out everything they messed up to fix it..especially if I'm already running a perfectly fine version where regen won't die anyway=\
Re: Important: Need your opinion for next NMR release.
(v1.44 has been released (http://forumshq.com/showthread.php?t=1450) for support with v1.11o only)
Recommendation for running v1.44 and v1.43 together: Go to your program files directory ("C:\program files") and make a copy of your "Nightmare Redux" folder. You can do this easily by highlighting it and pressing Control+C and then Control+V. Rename the new folder "NMR v1.43". Go into the new folder and create a shortcut to the "Nightmare_Redux.exe" somewhere called "NMR v1.43". Then download v1.44 and install it normally.
