Alright.. Does anyone see what i'm going to ask about?
Every time I've used this up untill recently, the rooms which were connected, were also connected on this map. One line form room a going east to room b, would meet the line going west from room b to room a. Now, for some reason this isn't happening anymore. Is there a setting in nightmare to make this continue happening? I haven't looked at any old versions of nightmare yet to see if this was a new thing. I probably should, but either way.. I just recently also changed my dpi from 72 to 150. If it's a dpi problem, or if it's suppose to be like this, or anything..
Kind of poking for answers as to why it's like this at all, how i have my stuff set up and so on..
Not that I wont quickly drop to 72 dpi to have that back to normal if that is the case, but hey..
thanks in advance for any responses

it works for me and all of my testers. what is your operating system and resolution? what theme and/or appearance settings are you using under display options?

well. it works set at 96dpi, but not at 120dpi.
how cracked out. haha..
xp pro, uhh, was at 1152x864, windows 98 skin (or classic, whichever you prefer to call it, when i think "classic" i think the crap skin win3.x had)
did you use images to load up the map? like each room represented by a square, with a slender image connected to wherever for the exits, and spaced them so they would touch? (even though obviously whatever you did is fucked by 120dpi, how faggotty )

so you got it working or no? and how can you change the dpi of your monitor and why does it effect what a screen capture on your computer looks like?

i can make it work, but any time i am working in nightmare i'll have to reboot into 96dpi mode.. that's fine, though.
well, doesn't effect what the screen capture looks like.. it does however cause the change in the nightmare map, evidently.. first program i've found that it has any effect on other than clearing up the screen.. i've got an nvidia geforce2 card, and in the driver config i can change it from 96 to 120.. and that clears up alot of the very subtle blurriness on my screen.. i've got a crap monitor evidently, so that helps alot.. but, unfortunately, it evidently has an effect on nightmare..

only thing i could think of is having the squares representing the rooms centered in their parts of the grid the map is built on, and making the directional exits go from the center of the square on the grid all the way to the corner or side of the grid square, that way no matter what dpi/whatever it would match up
but, i don't know my dick from a burning continent concerning programming, so really.. :)

Course, then the only problem you'd have there, is that the lines wouldn't be solid, they'd come to a point where the 2 rooms would meet if it was in any of the NE, NW, SE, SW directions.
Small flaw.

No, I mean like a line starting from the center going to the direction the exit is. Not all the way across both corners. That way it would be exactly the same as it is now. If the square which represented the room was centered in it's spot in the grid, and the line was going from the center of that spot in the grid to the edge of the grid, it would be exactly as it is now. If it doesn't make sense to you, picture graph paper. Picture the square the room is in being centered in one of the boxes. Then a line from the center of the "room" to the edge of it's box. Would work.
Wouldn't know how to program it, but it would work..

to have everyone know, i fixed his problem with a few simple code changes.
