BLAH im using XP Home build 2600. I did this, and my system would not start.

Nope, I did it exactly by the instructions on the site, its not hard. boot into safe mode, copy over, reboot, thats easy. Did it twice, once with the first exe in there, then once with the sp1 exe in there. Neither worked for me.
