Fantasy Football [Archive] - ForumsHQ
Hey guys, I don't know how many of you guys are into sports or anything, but it would be cool if we could get MMB it's own fantasy football league. It could be run through a different site (either pay or free like smallworld.com) and the league size would have to be decided once we see what kinda turnout it would get. There would be either a draft or you pick your own players (all depends on what site is used) and it would be a ton of fun.. Maybe the an official MMB FFL forum could be made for shit talkin\trades\whatever.. Was just a thought, gimme some feedback
Re: Fantasy Football [Archive] - ForumsHQ
Sounds kewl......I never really get into fantasy football, I am more just the type that like to sit at home drink beer and watch my football.....but I would be willing to give it a go once!
Re: Fantasy Football [Archive] - ForumsHQ
Im down for it. I've used http://fantasysports.yahoo.com/ before for fantasy leagues, and they're pretty decent. Don't know how the Commissioner end of it is, but w/e.
But yeah, let me know. I'm down.

Those things are usually too much effort for me to figure out and sign up and all that crap. But if it gets set up here and is easy to follow (never did it before), then I'll join too.
Re: Fantasy Football [Archive] - ForumsHQ
okay this can be done a few ways with Yahoo.. A) live draft, B) sending me a list in order of the players you want, you'll get the highest available player (that way sucks) or C) the computer picks all your players for you (Totally random, its based on player rankings so you don't get shit players, you get the best player the computer thinks of pretty much :)) totally up to you guys.. id like to see atleast 8 people in a live draft, its more fun that way

I've run fantasy leagues before, it's fun. Count me in. I'm just not running it. hehe
Live draft is the only way to do it.

Re: Fantasy Football [Archive] - ForumsHQ
i'll prolly play. i ran a few fantasy leagues on yahoo before. the player ranking system isn't completely random/ranking based. you can rank players how you want them picked. it will choose the first available player in your list until your list runs out and then it will start pulling from the rankings.
the live draft is a much better way to go because then you can choose which players you want based on what you have already drafted. when doing through custom made rankings you may get stuck crappy players in some positions since they were all chosen by someone else (whereas in a live draft you could choose what position you'd like to look for as well). the major problem with live drafting is getting everyone at their computer to do it.

so who wants to organize it? I like the live draft better because I don't like the idea of drafting via a list. If there is a better player or position in need, you can't alter from your list.
Re: Fantasy Football [Archive] - ForumsHQ
ill play with a live draft
