Ah yes, sorry. Got sidetracked. So only alignment death rooms are dll controlled? What about race/class specific death rooms? I know they're not in the game, but is that possible or once again a dll type thing? Just a hypothetical question..

far as I can see it, you can get the death room to be standard, but have a text block on arrival that ships you off elsewhere attached to said death room. Though I don't know if when you die it accepts you as "entering" the room

With that example (if it works) you could have race/class/alignment controlled death rooms and even (tho it's pointless) ones that check a flag or an item in your inventory to send you somewhere else.

yeah, you could have a room spell that executed a textblock that depending on class teleported you to a second specifc room. kinda round-a-bout but it'd work. you could call the death room the "regeneration room."

The reason I asked about this was, well Locke basically said it, I was wanting to put in kinda like "Bind Points" so that like say when I build new areas (which is up over 10k rooms now) You get WAY to far away from Silvermere, you could "Bind" yourself to a different temple/town and die and go back to that town. I dont guess theres any other way of doing this is there?

I always found it odd that MajorMud didn't have support for something like that... many telnet MUDs have a command like that, usually it's the "temple" command.

I created a new area with its own town ect and just set the death room for the area as the arena I made in that town. That way people did not have to walk 200 rooms to get back to the new area. This would be the easiest way to do what you want I would think.

The best way to do this is to have all the temples in your town give out loyal tokens. Say you go to a temple and pray to their god, and they give you a token (taking away the one you had before). Then when you die, you're sent to the "regeneration room", which checks what token you have and sends you to the appropriate temple.

Hmm.. I like this idea. I think I'll use it myself. :)

either that or just getting an ability, if you want to be sneaky, since you can always check against an ability
