router [Archive] - ForumsHQ

:wstupid: Im having a problem forwarding my ip address so i can let users log on to my board..it is a linksys 4 port, and i went into setup and then advanced and set wgserv in the first field, and 21-23 for the port, and then it showed the ip and a field for the last three digits of that ip and right after that it says enable i clicked yes...

example: customized applications: wgserv ext.port 21-23, protocol tcp-{checked}, protocol udp-{unchecked}, ip address is the same one to log on to the router. then enable-{checked}.

QUESTION: Is this right...and do i have to change anything un UPnP forwarding....:wstupid:

port 21 is the standard ftp port, 23 is standard telnet port. Did you set those ports on WG?

the ip address you enter for where it's forwarding to wouldn't be the same one to log on to the router with, it would be your WG server's IP.
