installing ANYthing on my cpu...namely mud [Archive] - ForumsHQ

Post by Delete »

Everytime I try to install Mud I get this error. Doesn't matter what version or anything... Tell ya the truth, I think its a Metro\Microsoft conspiracy (Lol). Anyway, even tryin to install Age of Empires 2 from a legit CD it give me errors saying that either the file is in use or im outta HD space and I got lots of HD space (about 50 gb) and install program is the only thing running.. Anyway, attached pic is copy of the error box. It's a softwareprod error. Dunno what that means.

if my registry is fucked does that mean one of the following?

a) someone hacked my shit and did it

b) i have\had a virus that did it

or c) came like that cuz i can't get my sound to work right either and i'm not very thrilled

oh.... sounds to me like you got a serious registry problem.... let norton utilities have at it... if it can't fix it... then you need to seriously look into formatting.... but download all the drivers for yer comp and burn them to a cd before you start.... it'll help to have the newest most updated drivers when it askes you for them :D
