how do i get wg's telnet server to run on a different port?

If you do that make sure you disable the web server portion of WG.

sure,

but that is the port for a web server, so, are you sure it's a open port?

other wise you won't get one or the other to load, Wg will complain it

can't bind to port 80 and go down. let me know.

a couple of ways to do it if you dont want to mess with modules and/or you want to be able to change the port easily.



1. if you have a router, you should be able to go under "Advanced Settings" and map a different port to 23.





2. if you dont have a router, download PortTunnel from www.steelbytes.com and map a different port to 23.





The public or address in is your actual ip or 0.0.0.0



The public port is the port you want people to telnet to (not 23)



The private or address out is the address of the machine with worldgroup on the network (192.168.whatever) (or same as public if no router)



The private port is port 23 (for telnet or 21 for ftp, 25 for mail, etc)
