Installing the manager or server? and would it have something to do with trying to run manager on the same comp as the server cos then ill drag my dads comp in and network em. But ive been having this problem even when i was running win98 SE, should i install manager to the same directory as the server?

If you are talking about Worldgroup Manager the client program then it won't run under XP... I tired it on three different XP machines. It's a stupid worthless client anyhow.
