I have Worldgroup installed with MMUD. Here's the problem (it's quite wacky):
All LAN users can use the BBS perfectly fine. All remote users getting bumped at the train stats screen when they first make a character UNLESS they choose lawful. If the remote user chooses lawful, it works just fine. Figure that one out
Here's a fun little problem

Kharne is not crazy. He just a very unique problem that prohibits him from running a working mud BBS. So all you 400+ post experts, do it up with the advice.
Re: Here's a fun little problem
Well.. since you aren't saying what all you've tried:
Reinstall WG
Reinstall MMUD
put files=255 in config.sys
lower # of telnet lines available
turn off all other services.
double check all mmud settings.
don't crack mmud.
Even if you've done it, do it again, and again and again until it works.
What OS are you running?

I reinstalled WG and MMUD on the same system, then installed it the 3rd time on a different system. No other services running, running Win 98.

one thing you need to check is make sure you have a real IP, not a network IP..

Well he can connect and play just fine. It's something about the stat screen when he's not lawful. I am on a LAN, but the domain alias points to my external IP which is turn points to the correct system.
Re: Here's a fun little problem
Tell us in detail what you have tried... ?
And how you are installing MMUD?
What settings are you using?
Has this worked before?
you get the picture...
Since we've never come across this before, we need details before we can help.

Umm wg don't work very well on LAN, and of course you can log in and it works fine you are prolly on the same computer witch the server is on,for that matter anyone on you lan can prolly log on and it will work, anyone outside of the network is going to have problems. When you say LAN what kind of lan are we talking about? Your person LAN set up at you house or one set up for a company use?
