Hey all. I have a question about majormud 1.11g. I editted some stuff with nightmare, but I had to delete the wccupda2.dat file, or my edits wouldn't stick. Anyway, I seem to be getting some weird regen problems. For example, some items won't regen right. Another weird thing is that some of the ememies don't regen properly. I was scripting in the kobolds area, and I died because after I went through a couple loops, they started regenning like 7 or 8 kobolds in one room, all clustered together. I'd be outside the kobold king room, kill the guards, and go into the king room, and all the sudden the guards would pop back in.....does anyone else have this problem, and is there a way to fix it? Thanks

Did you run an offline database recovery before loading the bbs and after installing the game? Usually that is the problem with weird regen. Try an offline recovery, that will probably work. If not, break it.

A few things that will cause regen issues in majormud are:
A: Your BBS isnt set to run a cleanup every night.
B: Every time you edit something you *HAVE* to run a recovery, or things wont index correctly.
C: WCCUPDA2.DAT is still regenerating and causing override conflicts.

A few more ?'s about regen problems. I recently installed 1.11g again, and i'm getting the same problems. Now, do I want to run an offline recovery AFTER I delete the wccupda2.dat file? or before, and then delete?
Also, if wccupda2.dat is still regenerating, how do i know, and how do i get it to stop? Thanks guys.
