The new Tradewinds Burning Crusade server is now open for public testing. What does this mean? Well, it means that the server has been advanced far enough to let people publically logon to it to test it our and see what advancements we have made so far.

What you will need to play:

1) Any install of World of Warcraft up to 1.12.0 (WoW, not TBC)

2) You will need to go signup at Filebabe to get the files, each of which is 600MB in size there are 4 files to download. You can get them HERE (http://forum.filebabe.com/showthread.php?t=2) signup for Dristols forums are free of course. These patches are for both PC and MAC.

2a) When prompted to "Do you want to upgrade an existing world of warcraft account to burning crusades account" OPT TO NOT REGISTER.

3) Once you have installed TBC onto your computer, you will need to go to the main WOW folder and open up the file realmlist.wtf replace the default WOW server address with wowtradewinds.dyndns.org and save it.

3a) Now go back into your WoW folder and delete the folders WTF and WDB or you wont be able to get back in(Dont worry, WoW will auto create them again). This step is vital (Thanks to Ghaleon for pointing this out).

4) Go to the Alpha main page to create an account. [url=""http://wowtradewinds.dyndns.org"]Tradewinds Mainpage and signup for a new account.

I will leave the server up for two weeks for people to test out and play on.

What I do NOT WANT TO SEE/HEAR:

1) Bug reports, I know what is and isn't working, between myself, Yamachi and DJRavine we will figure out.

2) Whining about things not working or issues you have on the server, remember its an ALPHA release of Luddy Tradewinds TBC, not the final.

What doesn't work so far, so people don't start reporting errors:

Many trainers for new races aren't working, so you'll just have to make it out of your start area towards another city. I'll try adding in flightpaths to new areas to help shorten the trips to and from.

Not all new area spawns are in yet, please be patient DJRavine and Yamachi are helping me out on this.

Once you get your client up and going I strongly recommend going HERE (http://www.cosmosui.org/download.php?t=patcher&f=Cosmos_Win.zip) and dowloading the Cosmos/Kaos config addon's, they provide invaluable tools to enhance your WoW experience. Alnertatly for MAC users you can get the same thing HERE (http://www.cosmosui.org/download.php?t=patcher&f=Cosmos_Win.zip) for your WOW OS X Install.

wowtradewinds.dyndns.org is for some reason forwarding to 192.168.1.47, use darknation.servegame.org for now until it's resolved.
