I drive a car that isn't driving atm. :( I love my subaru wagon, but it's just not worth the money to get it fixed. Currently, I'm in the process of being declined on the majority of my loan requests. Price I pay for playing with $500 cars for to many years. :P

I have a 2000 Jeep Wrangler that I drive and we just traded in tammys 99 elantra and got her a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. I have to get picks of them both and post them.

I've actually been looking at a 2003 and a 2001 elantra. My Dad drives a 2001, and brother a 2003, so I figure it's in the genes somwhere (plus, they're likely my best chance of financing).
No one should be given a credit card at 18, btw. Nearly 10 years later, and they're telling me I owe them $1600+ for the $180 I put on the card. So far, they're unwilling to settle, as well. Sigh.

I was given fantastic advice 4 months ago and I started doing it, in less then 1 month my credit score jumped 100 points....
Always assume a credit card company will NEVER settle. You may think your right and they are dead wrong but its not worth the fight. Setup a payment program with them and start paying off the card. Usually they will work well with you and help you get rid of the card. I had 3 cards that I would not pay on because I thought I was right and they were wrong. They have all the time in the world on thier side because its your score being fucked and your life in ruins because you cant get credit for shit. Start a repayment plan and in a few years the card will be gone and as soon as you start the plan your credit will start going back up.
We were able to get tammys cherokee from doing the above stuff. I fixed my three cards (setup payment plans) and within a month my credit was up 100 points which cleared the way for the loan for the vehicle.
Its a hard lesson to be learned but once it is youll never get a card again without looking really close at it. That advice was given to me by a mortgage writer who wouldnt give me a mortgage because it was 21% interest even though he could have. He told me to come back in a year after doing what he told me and hell be more then happy to give me a good mortgage that wont send me to the cleaners.
Also know your rights, read up on what creditors can and cannot do to you. It helps when they start trying to man-handle you on the phone. ALWAYS get things in writing from them. Ask them to send you a letter outlining any plans that you verbally setup on the phone and always get the persons first and last name and thier badge number and direct line. If you cant get those four things, hang up and try again until you get someone that will release that info. Write it down and dont lose it.
Its tough paying back 1000 bucks of late charges (bullshit charges) that you dont think you owe but actually in most cases theyll remove some of that if you setup a payment plan.
The US bitches that its citizens are too far way into debt to get ahead in the world but I guarentee you will NEVER see a mandatory course in high school or middle school that teaches credit and debt management and how to manage an income. Companies and the government make way too much money off of uneducated citizens to make it worth setting up help programs.

What is f'ked up about the situation, Creditors didn't have the right to jack up interest rates, or charge all those fees, until the supreme court passed the law that banks (and corporations) could fall under the constitutional rights of an individual, not an entity. Now they are allowed to tack on any shitty fee they want, jack up your interest rate for being late on payment, etc. The Federal Govn is the one that GAVE them the power to expound our debt exponentially.

All my knowledge is going into this thing, i'm proud to say that it went over 300 highway miles on one tank of gas due to my kustom ram air intake on the driver side fog light hole. I'm searching for another 3.1 to build up because gm can't build a tough enough bottom end. more pics to come, i've ditched the beauty rings, they make the wheels look small. I ordered a set of lowering springs, but after a month of waiting for them, the company finally canceled the order after my threats to call BBB. They didn't have the springs, they shouldn't have said they had em on the website. Performance parts for gm 3.1Litre's are hard to come by. I must be the only crazy asshole doing what i'm doing.
