zOMG. It's the 6th inning, game 2, and we're up 7 to 3 on Oakland. If we win this, we're going home up 2-0, and I'm about to shit myself.



I've been telling everyone we'd make the playoffs since April. I didn't necessarily believe it though. I thought, like everyone else, that we had a good chance at cracking .500, and I was fine with that. Don't read me wrong, I'm not a bandwagon fan. I love all my Detroit teams, whether they're doing good or they're the Lions. I just didn't expect this.



Need some nicotine before my head explodes. Oakland just came up in the bottom of the inning and started with a solo home run. Fuck me!

Game 1 is tonight, anyone following baseball still have any thoughts? I understand if that's a big fat no, I personally stop watching baseball when Detroit isn't playing anymore. But, I'm not opposed to talking to myself in this thread, as you will likely find out soon enough. :P

IMO, though, the Tigers are going to get more crap than they deserve for losing in the World Series. You ask any fan, and I mean ANY longtime Tigers fan what expectations were before the season began, and I guarantee to the letter they all would have replied ".500 baseball is all we want, just to have a winning season." That being said, I'm proud of my boys for what they've accomplished, and hopefully with a few more pieces this off-season (which I'm pretty sure were being planned BEFORE we did so well, anyways) and we'll be back in the playoffs next year.

Still a fan, through thick-and-thin.
