Anybody interested in a 1979 El Camino?



It has an excellent body for resto, I'm going to finish it in primer Sunday, and paint it before the end of the month if noone picks it up before then. If interested, the price will only go up as I plan on dropping a fresh 350 in it after paint. Have already done the suspension/exhaust/brakes, and passed inspection and is legal. The 305 in it started knocking as soon as I got plates on it (aka it is a chevy). It still drives fine (steering is tight as new). I will finish restoring, or someone else can. But like I said the price will just keep going up.

ahhhh. My first car was a 79 mino. It had the choo choo front end on it when i bought it off a mexican dude. Came with the 305 3 speed. Painted it black, pulled off the choo choo, frenched in corvette tails on the bed, slapped on a blazer rear bumper and was off. Unfortunatelly, it was stolen a few months later never to be seen or heard from again....how much are ya lookin to get outta this one? lemme know....-JOSH-

those are nice lil hatch backs. I'm not too fond of the front clip though. I wonder if a fox or notch clip would fit on it. I'm sure they would. That would look really badass. i'm not a ford guy personally, but mustangs are cheap quick lil cars.

The Mustang is a project that I've been working on for 10 years. Started out as a drag car project that got scrapped because I wanted to drive it on the street. I built the 5.0 to the hilt, there is nothing stock on it. Has a bulletproof built World Class T-5, with kevlar clutch, pro 5.0 power tower shifter etc, 3.55 gear full lock rear end, etc. Chrome pony wheels. Puts out about 350 hp right now. The old body is gone(was butt ugly and rather than fix it I bought another body for $100) engine is in a fresh body with stock rearend, suspension etc. So I have to change out the rear end, rebuild the engine (was raced hardcore for 30,000 miles runs fine but inspected it apart a year ago and the main bearings were in the copper oops), replace the suspension, and fix up the interior a bit and I'll have a decent car again. I'll post pics as soon as I get it together. I have no shop and even though I did the el camino all outside it was a pain in the ass and it's winter.

sounds awesome, keep me updated. I'd really like to see how this things turns out. I've never owned a mustang, but i've always liked the notch and hatch styles. Plus, the sound you get outta a built 5.0 there's nothing like it.

Eh Pork, get yourself one of those "Easy Up" canopies, you can nail the f***er to the ground, put some tarps around the sides (keeps the wind out). Mine is 10'x10'x10' I use it for camping. In the winter I use a propane heater to keep me warm.

That is a 4 man tent + a picnic table under mine.
