anybody ever heard of wowstatus (http://www.wowstatus.net/)?
most of those are running version 1.9.4...
so why run 1.8 when 1.9.4 is available?

Anyways yes you can run it on 1.9.4 and actually i know of a way you can run it on 1.10 as well. ... but to be honest this whole thing is pointless
WAD unfortunatly never gave out his source code and has stopped working on wowemu a long time ago. So there is no way to fix A LOT of the bugs on the game. As blizzard comes out with more and more updates, these servers will become more and more behind.
any server running 1.8.4+ is running by installation of a patch that basically removes the 'new' things in wow that the old emulators dont have. Its not really a newer version, just a temporary fix.

I have more important things going on in my life, besides i want to make sure the damn thing works first. I have someone working on the updates for me.
