So I am pretty confident that I will never get back into majormud as I once was. At least not in any forseable future. Therefor I would like to open source NMR and MME as I always said I would. The reason I have kept it off the open source market up until now is because I didn't want 18 version of the code wandering around while I was still actively working on it. Another thing I didn't want was someone taking the code, changing two lines and then calling it their own.
Even now when I have no desire to get into mud again I still check mudcentral and MMB virtually every day... at least during the week at work. When updates come out once in a blue moon I still try to make sure NMR and MME are functional with them. I just don't have the time and motivation to continue development and I am sure there are people out there that might.
The question is, is there any way I can open source these projects and still retain some sort of control over their development? What is the best way to go about putting the code out for the public but keep things organized and structured? Do I just put it on sourceforge or what?

SOurceforge is also what I was thinking. Just make sure in the "About" tab you post that the original credits are not to be removed that way your name stays in there.
