Just started a new job, telnet is not working, any suggestions without going to IT and telling them I want to mud whats wrong?

Yup I know of a way



go to google and download a program called 'porttunnel', and install it on your home computer



setup so that all incoming connections on port 80 get redirected to the telnet ip address of the mud you want to play on, with the port number 23.



then when your at work, just telnet to your home IP address port 80 and bingo your on the mud u wanted to go to.



your work wont block port 80.

Depends on your network, If they don't want you browsing the internet they may.

I can browse the internet, just not telnet.....sad.

basically what Ghaleon said, you can set up a VNC connection at your house, or remote in, there are a hundred ways around it.
