Yeah, mojo jojo's post made me have to drag out my dictionary. There are some movies out there that have smart plots and good dialouge, while making you think at the same time. Todd Solandoz makes smart movies. You should check out some of his stuff.

are they independent films? i liked the movie Pi also thimothy leary's "how to operate your brain"

while some things are repetitive and sometimes clearly off the wall (at least until i understand more) there are some very truthful points in these films. i don't like superficial films

The Forbidden Zone. Definitely a trippy-ass movie, black and white. Old, twisted, and makes you wonder wtf they were on way back then that made them do the movie.

Docs and independent films. I have no stomach for big budget blockbusters or romantic comedies (gag). I don't see movies in theater anymore, because Kix, or Admiral Acid, (I don't know what to call him here) got mad at me for making him walk out of them. (except Mr and Mrs. Smith. he was begging me to leave the theater) I can't sit through two hours of Hollywood garbarge, so I stopped trying. that is why I LOVE documentaries. I don't just want to be entertained, I like to be infomed. Born into Brothels was great, but it gave me very bad dreams. Word Wars was a little dissapointing, but I learned some great scrabble words. That is why I enjoy your posts so much Mojo jojo :hehe: right now, I am getting ready to watch Downfall, a Hilter doc. I just can't get enough info about two people in history. Hilter is one of them.

I do love the Harry Potter films, though.

I liked Downfall.. if you are interested in that time in history I think you will like it. I found it to be interesting but I didn't learn anything I didn't already know. So if you liked to be informed it might not keep you fully engaged.

Isla, is it in English? Or does it have sub-titles?

Damn, I might be lazy, but I hate having to read the movie. It is just too much concentrating for me.

Edited to add: Heh, I should have come up with a different word than concentrate, in relation to this film's subject.
