getting it to work [Archive] - ForumsHQ

Ok, I sortta followed http://forumshq.com/showthread.php?t=10135 to the point of installation. However what I did different, was I had already installed the files that were posted by Invisigod (the original Lunar RO files) I then took Ghaleon's files and installed everything into C:\Program Files\Gravity\RagnarokOnline (change the directory to this one) DO NOT update the sakay.exe or the ragnarok.exe files, these will cause the program to crash. http://forumshq.com/showthread.php?t=10144 Just run the LunarRO.exe file and play Lunar RO as normal.



everything is in english now. I haven't had a crash.

Question: did you completely uninstall all previous versions of RO, and delete the folder c:\program files\gravity before following the directions listed in the install post?



It seems that the problem may be that some people arent completely deleting all the files and uninstalling RO clearing all registry entrys before installing the new versions.

Ok as I said in my crash post. Yes, I uninstalled & reinstalled following your directions 4 times, I aslo cleaned RO out of my registry 4 times. It kept crashing. So finally I did it my way. installed from Invisigod's files, and then installed your files over top, and it works just fine. no crashing, and everything is in english.

I've never once cleared RO out of my registry, and never had these problems. I've also updated both kRO and kSakray files, and no crashes. This was about a month ago, and I'm not going to clear/re-install when I have no issues, so I hope you can get yours figured out!

OK there are only (i think) 4 files in invisi's patch. So (possibly) the reason is I need to add 2 more files that I didnt add to my patch that Invisi had it his. If thats true though its wierd I didnt have the same problems.



I will make the new changes to the patch when I get home.
