So, there's 3 different "boxes" with random item drops, along with an "old card album" which gives random cards. I was wondering if maybe we the players could get some of these to help get new items into the game short term, without neccessarily (unless someone gets da bomb eq(cross fingers)) making drastic changes (drop %'s and the like).



Like I said...I'm greedy, and want stuff. Yaaaaaay stuff!

Im making some really good progress with my Thief. Hopefully soon ill be able to start getting some good gear as drops. The double strike combined with dodge and some good armour im wearing lets me kill things pretty damn quick. Once I get my level base up I should be doing pretty well. My fighter on the other hand has hit a speedbump until I am able to amass a large quantity of cash to buy him better eq.

Was also thinking along the lines of a [GM] Mastersmith (http://iro.ragnarokonline.com/game/JobWhiteSmith.asp), who could be available to make elemental weapons and/or WeaponLevel 3 stuff.

So, an update.

Xetox has switched his [GM] account over to a blacksmith, and has stated that if people bring him mats, he will make what you request. Now, with that said I have no idea how this class works, so I'll be researching it, maybe get a thread started about it if I find any good sites. Input is welcome.

I still like the idea of handing some boxes/albums out to people, but then again...I'm greedy :)

I'm in the process of making a blacksmith on another server to see what the gist of it all is. Here's a screencap for anyone who's wondering what it's like to be a merchant. Ignore the stats, as they have a reset girl, so they're still set up for leveling.



You'll notice the [items] button on the eq screen, that's to fill your cart up. You can only setup shop with the "vending" skill, and you can only sell items that are in your cart. The interface is pretty intuitive, even if setting a price isn't. I've been using this faq with listed iRO street prices (http://db.gamefaqs.com/computer/doswin/file/ragnarok_online_iro_market.txt), though frankly I have no idea if they're even remotely close. I know I had one card sell for 250k roughly 5 seconds after I opened shop the first time. Meh.

I have a Merchant, with all the good stuff, vending, push cart, etc. etc. I rented a cart, and tried to open a store, gave it a name. etc. etc, But SFA happened. I wasn't able to add stuff to the store, the name didn't stick. I tried looking for information on doing so, but it seems info on RO merchants is limited.

Oh, the whole Xetox thing...so, YOU make a blacksmith, (level 40+ merchants 2-1 advanced) class and then he can switch back to whatever he wants. :)

Don't worry though, Ghaleon. I haven't used him yet, and I won't untill I have a few days to devote to getting any blacksmithing mats. OH, btw, thanks for your opinion. It hurts to have some kid from the other side of the country call me lame...sniff...
