Since this seems like the least likely spot in these forums for this kind of thread to be deleted, I will address this here.
Back in the hayday of the hall of flames, I saw very little help and a lot of people dishing crap. Although I was a main contributor to this, and I still think it's kind of foolish to make flaming obselete (because people are never "flamed" outside of these forums, which renders them completely shaken up and upset when it happens here...), the time had come where this forum took a turn toward the helpful side.
This forum was then closed, some had a fit, some didn't care, some came out of their shell to post again because they lack testicles. All was well again in this forum, and help started to pour out from all sides, once again making this a forum designated toward achieving more informed mudders.
Now, it seems, whenever someone makes a joke, a side comment, or even a harmless flame that doesn't bother either side, it gets "cleaned". All of us like throwing in little side comments to get a laugh here and there, and now, if you are lucky, you see that post for an hour or so before some nun comes and cleans it off the chalkboard. I don't understand why these forums had to go from chaos to divinity, but it's getting a little old. I can understand deleting posts that may say something completely obliterating a person's character or morality, but a little side joke is no reason to "clean" it. Anyways, no one here speaks up anymore, and no one here really cares, so I'm assuming all the comments I'll receive for this (that is if it isn't cleansed) will be defending our current situation. Anyways, just my 2 cents.

Being fairly new here (been a frequent reader for about 8 months) i can't speak about the history of the situation. But i can say that things i never thought would get deleted/moved/"cleaned" get deleted/moved/"cleaned" on a near daily basis. I love this place, but it seems folks or the powers that be are a little over sensitive at times.

Seeing as how i see something to this affect posted in every post you make im going to politely request you stop. If your really that unhappy with our forums there are alot of others out there.
If you personally have an issue with how things are run please PM an operator and try and get this issue resolved. Im sure im not the only one tired of seeing you post this as your opening to a thread but im the one most likely to say something about it. Not a flame and not trying to go off topic but enough is enough.

A little poking fun at people is one thing. But we started seeing nothing but flaming on a daily basis. Even when users like DragonDawn would post updates he got flamed for his inability to type like the rest of us. Seeing the same crap day in and day out gets tedious and finally downright annoying. If people didnt get out of hand so much it wouldnt have been a problem but it directly interfered with legitimate posts. Thats why it was removed.

While this may be a pointless comment, I've been reading these forums for years and years, and see no problem whatsoever with post cleaning. There's at least 4 other ways I can think of offhand to get personally abusive towards someone (IM, E-mail, PM here, on a bbs), but the people that flame tend to do so w/the express intent of trying to influence someone(s) thoughts on other people. Hence, it's almost political in nature, and we're talking about a game here. Any problems w/what I've said, please PM me. Thanks.

I think its nice to see the ops taking care of this board. It was on the downhill for awhile but now its rising back up again. Its nice to see it coming back to life and the problem posters are being taken care of.

Seems to be the opening to all my threads? That's an interesting statement with very little facts to back it up. I find it funny whenever I speak up about something, I am told to "find somewhere else". The last thing I should ever do is point out some things that have gotten out of hand in a post not flaming anyone in general..damn.
I understand you people and your PM's, but sometimes, a comment must be shared with everyone. I'm not going to type this message and PM all the ops on here primarily for 2 reasons: 1. Much easier to just publicly post it and 2. I was posting to reach a bigger audience. I'm sorry to have posted a shameful comment in the hall of shame, I must be some kind of fool to think this is the place for that.
Like I said, I am not attacking anyone in general, just the overall actions being taken by some ops (I don't know all who are doing it, so I must generalize). I don't see anything harmless with my women in power post, primarily because I commented on RuPaul, which if anyone is past the age of 12 knows is actually a man. It offends no one, except possibly cross-gender people (and if cross-genders are here, they should be offended). A place void of humor becomes very mundane after awhile, and as long as the humor is at the cost of no one in particular, I don't see it being a horrible thing.
