Ps2 flip top lids [Archive] - ForumsHQ

there's these Slider things and flip-top lids mods you can do to play backup games. I would like to know how they hold up to the other chips. They worth the low price?

i don't play my ps2 nearly as much as my xbox but so far i haven't found a game that doesn't work with the flip top and boot disc method. some need to be patched however. as far as durability, they seem to be made good.

I'm picking up that PS2 today after work, so i don't know what version of PS it is yet.

Sounds like this Flip Top lids are OK for the CHEAP price. I have a cupla more questions for ya.

1) you said most games work, though you might have to patch them. Can you elaborate on that? Sounds like you patch the game b4 i burn it to disk?

2) Can you point me to where you bought yours from, some of these online shops look shady to me.

exactly. if you have the physical game, you make a .bin/.cue usually and then download a PPF patch file to patch the bin. then you burn it. if it's downloaded it'll normally be patched already, if not it's the same idea except obviously you aready have the bin/cue.

both of these are advertised on http://www.ps2nfo.com/ (the original place where the flip top cases started)--
