:bravo: Well The BBS is runiing smooth but i need some help with a few things so i am lookin for some people who know NMR and i would like to use the recall add on but not sure how to set it up i really dislike sys goto :crazy: so if there is any 1 out there who can help that would be great

go to http://www.whatismyip.com to find out what yours is



also it means you're behind a router, you'll need to forward port 23 to your private IP (192.168.1.47).



then go to www.dyndns.org to get a dynamic DNS

ok i'm doin the whats my ip now and it is 4.14.213.103 and yes i am behind a router but have no idea on how to forward to port 23 i'm using a (Westell Model 327w) and i guess its a router lol verison my dsl compony send it to me but any help on the router thing would be great

ok i got the bbs up and goin i think lol the DNS is still in the works......but i think i got around my router with the help of a friend. Now i will work on the DNS 2:02am...lol

As of 8:41 this morning, the board was offline with no explanation in the forums as to why.



I have told so many sysops before, that they need to make sure they are going to have a stable board AND have at least some work done on their realm before they put it up.



If you want your board's popularity to be at a decent level, it NEEDS to be finished to some extent before you put it online for the public... If a user logs on in this time period when you say you are 'waiting for the users input on what they want', and they see no edits... In their mind they dub this board a 'snub', and you will more than likely not get them back.



First impressions are everything in the mudding realm... Any user can install WG, and Majormud and put a board up... But a real sysop will put some time and effort into the board before he puts it up.



You need suggestions? You need ideas? Well... We are here to help. Get some work done on the board, and get a DNS as well.
