I freely admit that sometimes I speak before I think, and when I'm wrong or acting like an ass I admit it and apologize. I didn't say you have never made an intelligent post. I said I have never seen you say anything intelligent. I've only been following these forums since about a week before DeathBlow came online, so I cannot speak intelligently on your behavior before that point. The only things I have seen from you, to date, on these forums are presumptuous, egotistical statements and borderline threats because people are not putting you high enough up on a pedestal for all you have done for the mud community.



That being said, from what I understand, you have done quite a bit for the mud community in the past, and I would imagine people would be a lot quicker to recognize you for it if you would mix a touch of humility into your personality.



My personal apologies to you if I came across a little harsh, but when I see people being thrashed that I respect for having done a lot to further the mud community I tend to jump to their defense, and usually have somewhat of a sharp tongue about it. From what I've heard from the folks over in CTO, you have been a model citizen on DeathBlow, and I have no personal interaction with you beyond these forums, so I digress..



As for being in a position to judge you... I am in as much position to judge you as you are in to judge anyone else. I never claim to be a genius, and my IQ is of no concern to you or anyone else, for that matter. Human beings are judgmental, sadistic, and vindictive by nature. It's just part of life, get used to it.

i think you need to start with reading my post about Kramer which was very recent. if you think its unintelligible then perhaps you need to re-evaluate your own concepts of intelligence. i feel that i'm no less than any other human being on this planet, and i don't need your opinions to prove or disprove that. i know what i am accomplishing academically at the university and that's all that i need to know for myself.

Okay, I read it, and several other posts you have written recently on different threads. Your arguments in almost every case have been well thought-out, intelligible, and concise (even if it did seem you were maybe trolling for trouble, here and there, but at least in the black mailman thread, you SAID that's what you were doing - if not in so many words). So my question to you is this: What is it about the people in the mud threads (or maybe on some mud boards) that causes you to flip your rational side off and begin to behave like you don't have a complete thought in your head?



You're obviously intelligent and relatively educated. Nobody has had anything but good things to say about you on DeathBlow, and your sense of reason everywhere else seems to be entirely intact.



Which leaves me where I began.. I just don't get it..



Anyways, after having read several posts from you that were NOT on the MajorMUD forums, I withdraw my comments about your inability to say anything intelligent, and add an apology as well.



As for the whole scenario on the Kramer thread, I agree with your point of view entirely, as I have seen the footage, and think the media blew it way out of proportion and did not allow for the entire context of the situation to come through. If you help a little old lady across the street and the media wants to put you in a bad light for doing it, they will find a way to do so in just the same manner. I don't want to get off topic, but I've one thing to add. I grew up in the inner city, it's all I have ever known. I've seen the N-bomb dropped in every manner possible, and have even dropped it the wrong way once or twice, myself (because I knew it would have the desired effect - it pissed the guy off enough to throw a swing at me). The context in which it is said is everything. I expelled a user (http://forumshq.com/showthread.php?t=11478) from DeathBlow tonight, in fact, for going too far and too long with it. I don't know if he was white, black, yellow, red, green, blue, or purple; he was spewing hatred from his fingertips, and I was done with him.



Anyways, back on topic (well, as on-topic as this thread can be, at this point). When I'm wrong I say I'm wrong, and I was wrong. My apologies. You obviously have a good deal of knowledge that you could lend to the greatermud project for the sole benefit of furthering it (I'd really love an RLogin option...), why not do so?

what you think and how i actually am are independent of each other. its you who feels i am trying harder than what i'm naturally capable of. there is obviously a distinction between us in terms of education and you don't seem to acknowledge that difference. and you definitely cared enough to respond, "seriously."

I grew up hard, didn't have the luxuries alot of folks have today. I can't afford to go to college, so I gain my education through living.
