Boycott the RIAA, but NOT supporting the Artists, they dont give a fuck about us, they just want our money. I dont give a fuck how many weeks he/she spent writting a peticular song, it aint worth $30+ to buy a fucking CD for 1 song, that I'll listen to maybe twice.

Hey you'd be surprised man. Like I said before.. Iron Maiden encouraged the downloading and the new Velvet Revolver cd comes with special sharing licenses for each song that are loaded into your pc when you rip it.



Of course, Iron Maiden is legendary and the guys are probably rich... not to mention Velvet Revolver, a.k.a. Guns N Roses with Scott Weiland of Stone Temple Pilots singing instead of Axl Rose.



Even then, it's only 2 artists out of thousands. The artists don't give a shit because they make their money touring. Records make money for the record-label execs. That's probably why t-shirts at shows are at least $30...

Except very few artists encourage it, if they all did then maybe the RIAA would back the fuck off and shut the fuck up. What someone should do is launch a lawsuit against the RIAA.

A lawsuit on what grounds? "I'm suing you for suing me for stealing your property." I don't think that will hold too well in a legitimate US Court. Unless we take it to Mexico and pay off the judge/jury...

Nah man, the only legal way to get music, is to go out and buy the retail album. You can then make as many copies of the cd as you want, but only you can legally use them, and you can rip the songs to your PC or MP3 player, but only you can listen to them, and if you ever get rid of the retail album, you have to get rid of the copies/MP3's.



It's just like software. You can install it on your PC, but only on one. You can make copies for yourself, because when you buy the product, you're buying 1 license to use that product, not to copy or distribute it.

You I thought you could d/l songs if you own the cd... i also thought you could d/l mp3s for a trial period of like 48 if you do not own the cd then you must delete it from your computer unless you go out and buy the cd before the tial period ends?
