You know, I wrote a post on distributed computing months ago. I'd sign up, but I'm already set up with Zetagrid, a German university's attempt to prove the Riemann Hypothosis.



You can find details on just about any project under the sun--some use a lot of bandwidth, some don't; some benefit humanity (like folding@home) and some don't (like the monkey/Shakespeare simulator).

Shrug, because ending up with 6 threads about different software that do relatively the same thing (to the layman) seemed pointless?



Also, imagine forums as an online version of a normal conversation. After a conversation about "Folding" was brought up, would you bring up something really similar as if Folding wasn't ever mentioned? Probably not - you'd probably want to talk about then simultaneously, or at least with reference to each other.
