Purgatory webpage

Post by PeterParker »

OK, we are trying real hard to find a FREE webserver that will allow us to put files up for users to download. We were going to use WG but it is just too damn slow. If anyone has an idea of where to get one, or a program, or something already in Win2K, that a layman can use, please let me know.

Also, Raiden where are you? We want to get Boink up for you but we need to do some things to get it going.

We want more than FTP, we also want to put up a graphic Webpage that we can post updates, and such.

Upon more thinking we can run the webpage off of WG, and just have links going to an ftp server. Is there one built into WIn2K, so we aren't doing the downloading through WG?

freeservers is ok ...ive used it for a few years now myself...but alot of restrictions..like u can only upload using thier server..you cant use cuteftp or other ftp progs..plus file size limitations.as well as only like 10-12 megs storage which is fine for html but,not good For hosting bigger files .etcetc i need to find a better 1 myself actually.

Who did? Peter Parker? He should be able to do it in 5 minutes. Peter Parker is Spiderman isn't he? He's supposed to be a web master.

:wstupid: I couldn't resist. Sorry.

LOL, it turned out my isp blocks port 80, so I used webhop from dyndns.org, and my router to fix it :>
