On a further note to this subject... MAKE DAMN SURE FUCKING MEGAMUD IS CLOSED BEFORE YOU INSTALL... now you won't have any problems... Oh and I've helped people install this on about 20 or so computers... none of which had a problem.

Do you regularly ignore information provided to you to explain what's going to happen and then blame the person who posted it for not making it even more clear, or is this a one time deal?

I'm sorry, what's not to get? So you don't want to delete all of your custom paths. Fine. You could either use that installer and unclick the "Remove Old Files" box or download the zip file and do it by hand yourself. You not paying attention to what's going to happen and not liking the outcome isn't Syntax's fault. It's yours. The program and installer work fine. User error is different.

This is what we call backpeddling. Did you realize your first post was completely off the fucking wall, so you went back to make yourself look better? Or how about taking Syntax's claim that you're being obnoxious (a claim I share with him) and preempting it by saying your not in your previous post? Backpeddling. And backpeddling screams out "weak argument" to me.

How about doing something you have never done Syntax, and tell me, how can I use Winterhawks paths without deleting all my paths, or screwing them up.
Oh and I followed the instructions on it, backed up my "default" folder, deleted all the files except players.md and macros.md. I also tried the Winterhawk about 4 different times, what has happened is that a very large chunk of folders, rooms, and paths just go poof, and my paths (that now get backed up) dont get imported. They just dont seem to exsist. and I have scanned for new paths.
Backed it up 'default' to where? Did you leave the backup folder inside of default/? Did you try putting your backup on the desktop? Something tells me you didn't put much time into getting this to work, because I doubt the installer searches for any folder on any harddrive in your computer that has a .mp file in it and deletes it. Try it again.
And your paths don't get imported? Did you put them back into the right folder? If you want actual help on this, go through, step by step, what you've tried and what's going wrong. Haven't you ever dealt with tech support before?

Hehehe I will agree with Shaddow that I am one of the ones that have a limited mind when it comes to computers but golly gee, it worked fine for me. :)
Actually it was one of the easiest programs i've worked with in a while and so much easier than hassling with hand deleting. :)
