Just curious... Let's say we have a HD crash and need to load a backup. (I personally backup all of my WG files at cleanup) What would the proper procedure be?
I'm going to assume re-install WG/MUD/etc then copy your backup over the top and run a offline recovery for MUD? Does anything else need to be done? I am thinking of wiping the BBS drive and make some system changes.. Any info would be appreciated.. =)

yes, that should work. but are you only doing this because you are "thinking of wiping the BBS drive and make some system changes" ? because if you do wipe the drive and then restore your backup, you're still gonna have the same files to deal with (unless it's windows itself you're trying to clean up).

yes, that should work. but are you only doing this because you are "thinking of wiping the BBS drive and make some system changes" ? because if you do wipe the drive and then restore your backup, you're still gonna have the same files to deal with (unless it's windows itself you're trying to clean up).

Nod, just cleaning up Windows... I usually format my drives every 3 months or so.. (obviously if I was having a problem and restored over the top with my backups the problem would still be there indeed) =) peoples common sense these days is lacking :) I was just curious as to what all needed to be done.. I wasnt aware of any other steps that possibly needed to be taken if any. Thanks for the reply.. It's much appreciated...
