This is getting amusing real fast. Foul language wasnt necessairly the case. It was the fact that many of us operators warned him in PM's and thru other mediums to stop thread crapping, post flooding and numerous other things on a regular basis.
DD didnt listen, he was warned again and again and AGAIN. Still he would listen for a week or so and go about business as usual. Its not as much the foul language its the disrespect he shows myself and another of the Admin staff by completly ignoring us when we asked him to stop doing something he shouldnt have been doing.
I suggest everybody who has a problem best go read the ForumsHQ rules section and brush up a little on the old common courtesy thing because from posts by people such as lyki and a few other prime examples that rules has been sorely overlooked.

So as long as Shaddow kisses ass he can be just like Dragondawn?
Re: DragonDawn [Archive] - ForumsHQ
Everyone is hot to bash each other. I see none of you bothered to read my post, nor comment. The only people who commented, were not involved in the shit slinging.
Now from what I have seen, or not seen is that Shaddow hasn't responded to any of the bashes from Drago, Lyki, or erek, it seems like he's just quit and moved on, or maybe he too got banned.
How does my name get pulled into this? I bashed Shaddow like a week ago.. he made his responses.. I didn't feel like saying anything more on the topic.

The one thing that Dragondawn and Shaddow did, was they breathed life back into MMB. It was starting to stagnate, nothing intelligent gets posted anymore.

Dragondawn is gone, I'm assuming that means he's been IP banned, which technically will only last until his ISP changes his IP.
I think if Shaddow & Dragondawn were to sit down and talk without the clowns on here tossing more gasoline onto the fire, that a compramise could be reached.
Now thru life, everyone needs a scape goat, it seems that, that was imposed on Dragondawn because of his inability to handle the shit being tossed around.
People forget that the words on a screen sent from thousands of miles away, really shouldn't be anything to upset one. I bet if this were a face to face, we'd all laugh and joke, and bullshit, and nothing hurtful would be said, no one would stomp on someone elses feelings, no one would sling crap just because. We should look at forums, and mud as we would real life, as it is easier to show compassion, than the arogance that we all hide behind in text.
I'm still going to stand on the side, and not let the flames & crap be an object in my space, it's not worth the headaches & heartaches. Now those who do know me, maynot believe that I can just side step. BUT I have made a choice, and I'm going to do what I can to stand by that choice.
Enough is Enough, Personally I'm just sick & tired of the bullshit, maybe too late some might think, but better late than never.
Thanks for that post, it makes alot of sense. Think i will take your advice and just ignore the flames and shit throwers. Because that is when i usually throw it is when it has been dished out on a silver platter.
And shaddow getting banned for his part of it all just WONT happen.

I'm surprised that this thread has received the attention that it has, and gone as long as it has.
I ageree that with banning Gerry we are losing a quite a bit of activity on the forums, but Gerry had been in violation of the rules, and not just once either. He proactively ignored all of the warnings from the MMB administrators and proceeded to use his foul mouth. Syntax, and Invisigod made a very well-informed decision in banning him, and it's sad to see that most of the users don't agree with it.
There was no 'power-tripping' in the decision to ban Gerry's IP. The admin were making an attempt to enforce the rules for MMB, which Gerry had brushed aside many times. Like I noted, they gave him ample warnings to behave himself in the forums, and he ignored them. Even if Gerry was being egged on, which he was, he could have easily made the decision to respond in a less agressive fashion and saved his ass.

I would appreciate it as well if users stopped throwing all of this on Invisigod's shoulders. The admin as a whole, I believe made this decision, it wasn't just any one person... Invisigod is just the only one who takes the time to step in and make people aware of the situation.
I do agree with the banning of DD. Never said I didnt. What I dont agree with is that Shadow is and was guilty of doing the same thing yet here he is still here and still allowed to do the same things DD did. Where is the well informed decision in that? Just my opinion but that is what I see on here.

hehe if only this forum was a true democracy where the leaders had to make decisions based on keeping themselves in office and appeasing the people... alas it is not.... so you guys can waste your time debating over this all you want... a lot of people look at the people who question the authority behind the banning of Gerry as being disrespectful... what else can be gained from debating about it? they said he broke the rules numerous times and they punished him for doing so.. i doubt they're about to remove the ban and shit on their own rulings.... that would show a sort of weakness on their part regarding the enforcement of rules... and this would potentially give certain people an edge with their thread crapping/trolling/insults/flames... reducing the overall quality of the conversations...

You know, there isn't a single user on here who hasn't done what DD did, and several who do it even more than he ever has.. so that whole argument is shit.

@drago, these conversations

You guys, just stop this nonsense. Flaming someone just isn't nice. Like Quixx said, we should treat text based games like real life, because they are so similar. Like the fact that we can see facial expressions, feel what is around us, take time to interpret peoples words by the way they sound, and become acquainted through small talk and a cup of coffee. Alas, Majormud truly should be treated like real life, so when we get bored, we can go slay dragons and duel each other to the death for some limited equipment. Sounds entertaining. We should just make haste to chastize our knife-like tongues, relax, and play some hopscotch, or maybe duck, duck, goose. Because in all reality guys, all interesting things happen when everyone gets along, and the news reflects this, right?? :) :) :)
