That's retarded. If you want to make a realm harder keep the xExp to a minimum, say 2 or 3, or ever legit exp ***imagine that***. What I am sick of in muds these days is that people constantly feel they need to make 90% of the original game useless and irrelevant by adding in dumb items/spells/monsters.Example: I want to see new bosses and areas off of places like blackwood that coincide with the context of the area. Make new items/spells/races/classes that rock, but give them downsides and balance them. Balance is the key. Also, I would like to see new quests. Some places have good new quests, but nothing as well done as the quests already in mud. I know it takes time, but make a 10 step quest ala phoenix feather quest, AND DONT PROVIDE A WALKTHROUGH!!! That will make people have to work to finish it. Here's another thought, make people actually have to train at the real trainers instead of providing bullshit trainers to 255. That would add some serious at keys time to a board. Or another thought, no sys gotos. Mud is a fun game, but 95% of boards make it a cakewalk and the game loses its allure when you can be level 90 in a week, whether theres gameplay thru level 250 or not.

Yes, legit exp is hard. Why? Because its so boring you want to roll your char before lvl 20. There are plenty of legit exp boards out there, so why don't you go play on one?

hear hear, legit is just too slow, and ridiculous on an edited board that allows lvl 255. 20x is overkill, but 4-5x is nice.

That's what I am saying. I am not going to make it 10x or even higher I am probally going for 3x and going to up the hp's on some monster and bosses. I am going to make new area's, quests items ,spells and such. I am going to balance it all I think I have got a well blanced team in the works for the project. But I don't seem to be getting the feeback I need from mmb users to really want to work on a project that long for no one to play.

But if there is people that want to really work for a Kick butt char, then I can start on the project. Just tell what ya would like and maybe we will balance it in.

insert shameless plug here: excepting the legit level scheme, we already have all of that on mudrev, including the nine-part quests with no walkthroughs someone said they wanted to see. :p there's still some imbalance, but generally the complaint i hear most is that the game is too balanced and difficult, and i'm improving it every day. check out http://mudrevolution.no-ip.org for info if you wanna drop by

How exactly does that fit mudrev? So you have new areas, items, spells, etc. Now people are suppose to stop making boards because mudrev is here? :\ I give you mudrev is good, but don't try to take away from the creative spirit man.

of course they're not, i'm just shamelessly plugging, i said that. hell, if cane wants ideas i'd be glad to give em, you should know that, and i completely support anyone else making a board. just because i'm plugging mudrev doesn't mean i'm trying to take away from other boards.

Everyone knows what mudrev has, everyone knows mudrev exists, mudrev is one of the most discussed boards. I don't see why you have to go trying to steal players from a board that not even created yet. :\

But with all the support i have gotten off mmb I think I am going to start on the project soon enough. There will be nothing coming up in the next month but ya mite see something sort of up next month maybe depends on how my team works toghter.

what he said, you can't steal from something not yet created, even if no mudder had ever played more than 1 mud. :P

let me also reiterate that the invitation extends to cane also, whether he's logging on to play or get ideas or simply wants my aim to bounce ideas off me. i don't see why you think that my plug detracts from this discussion either, since it wasn't even started as an ad for his bbs, in fact it was a poll for ideas on how to make his bbs, heh. oh well, it's late and this discussion is pointless, i apologize for stealing the people who don't play on this nonexistant board yet or something.
