The reason he ended up in TSQ is because Miles has overhauled the Teleconference to look like that. It's not really the realm.
LOL Well that is about the silliest thing I ever heard. To waste time on a chatroom that hardly, and maybe no one, ever use is actually quite funny. :)
Only reason for coming back is to say I have directed my friend elsewhere to play mud. Boards where the sysops keep the players up to date as to what is going on etc.

there's been some unrecoverable data file loss - perhaps it was caused by the downtime, perhaps by my trying to install beta13 through miles' roommate, but we can't be sure. sorry to everyone who was playing, but we have to reset the game, otherwise there will be utter chaos when 80 people start signing up with each other's user info. the reset should be taking place at approx 5-6pm tonight, EST. on the plus side, we can finally consider ourselves out of extended beta testing in terms of balancing early levels, no more waking up to find your chars changed. :P we apologize for the inconvenience, yada yada.

in their defense, if you lose your internet connection and don't have a friend/place to go and get back online for a minute, how else are you supposed to notify people you have never met that a board is down...

i find it hard to believe that a person is unable to have any access to the internet to type a 2 minute explanation of what happened. i don't buy it for one second that it was totally impossible
i mean freak you can go to the library and get on for free

Aaaah True BUT someone announced yesterday that the board is back up so I thought maybe the sysop would have typed a message here. Did hear he typed one at his site (Not sure when though, never went there to read it) about why the board HAD been down. But seems he still hasn't given an explanation as to why the board isn't working right and when it might be. It's those little explanations that sets good sysops apart from ones that don't communcate too well.
Hopefully maybe it will be in time but til then I actually came here to look for some boards for my friend. Gave him Morbid and Lunar so maybe he will be happy once again since he is confined to the house for atleast a year for recuperating purposes.
