Anyone remeber when some of us where younger cartoons where pretty kewl. Example Transformers was badass (one of my favorite) GI Joe, He-Man, Voltron, Thunder Cats, Silver Hawks and the list goes on... I've noticed that the cartoons that kids watch today are pretty lame. Now there are a few that are good, but I have noticed that Hasbro (toy company) etc have been releasing these toys again (transformers, gi joe, he-man etc) and the cartoons are back on tv... (newer versions of course) but is it because of the simple fact that these shows/products bring them in large amounts of revenue or am I just reliving my childhood when I watch He-Man and Transformers on cartoon netwrok.. Anyways i was bored just expressing my thoughts...

Hasbro and company are cashing in on our fond childhood memories. Ever out to make a buck, they're targetting not only kids, but us. Now, don't get me wrong, I watched transformers, and I liked it, but I think its insulting that some corpulent, jowly, pasty-white man in a suit is making money off of a childhood ended years ago.

The newer he-man and trasnformer cartoons (as well as many of the other ones packaged with them) just plain suck. Bad voice acting; animation that makes me want to cry... You just can't beat the original.
The newer toys are all made of plastic too, so they make the cartoons look alot like the toys..I lost interest in the transformer toys when they started looking like giant shiny dolls that barely took any thought to change transform.

I always hated G.I. Joe because of all the wasted ammo. So much ordinance flying around and nobody ever got HIT, much less killed...

Heh, no different than every action movie nowadays. All these trained killers with such TERRIBLE aim... anyhow, yeah the old cartoons are always the best - Popeye, He-Man (Masters of the Universe), the Smurfs, even some of the old-ish Disney cartoons, Rescue Rangers, Tailspin, Gummy Bears. I loved the hell out of those when I was growing up..

Only shows I really watch on Cartoon Network now are Family Guy and Futurama - mainly because I don't watch much television, and when I do it's Monster Garage or Myth Busters.. ;)

Dude I saw one of those myth busters shows a couple weeks ago, and they were drinking and trying to pass a breathalizer. I don't really have a point to this post except for that would be a cool job, get paid to drink. WOO!!! Oh yeah, I guess they get paid for that on the Man Show too, but they get to see boobies and stuff too, so that's a better job.
(old cartoons ruled, I had like 200 GI Joe guys when I was little and a big fort and a bunch of tanks n stuff, it was cool)
