New BBS - DoMi-Nation

Post by Hobo_Bill »

Tie DoMi requested I post information pertinent to the board he's currently running.

BBS Template Post to follow, once I'm aware of all the information required. For now, the basics..

BBS Name: DoMi-Nation

IP: 24.100.46.229

20x Monster Exp

10x Boss Exp

Accounts per IP: Currently, just 1

Some Newhaven monsters drop 1 platinum, cave worm drops 2 platinum, slime beast drops 3 platinum

Starting cash of 10 Head Coins (runic) when an op is present or another player can afford to front the cash ;)

+hp regen and +mana regen item Healing Stone available in General Store

Realm opened 3 or 4 days ago

Level restriction on items is removed, no limiteds I believe

Sys Gotos, Sys Map

Lag is bad right after cleanup until the databases have been completely loaded, approx. 30 minutes or so, otherwise fairly lag-free.

New edits to be applied as soon as possible, including new scripting areas for higher level characters, and level 80 quest weapons.

This is all the info I'm aware of at this time, as soon as I can I will post any other info available.

If you have any suggestions, edit-wise or otherwise, post them here or email them to Sysop on the board itself.

P.S. I am *not* an op

this can be avoided by putting "UPDATE_SPEED=5" into the WCCMMUD.INI file. This makes the board run the update file before allowing anyone to log on. I think the extra 5-10 minutes loading time is worth not having lag.

I'll pass that on to the Op when I see him online. Thanks Syn!

I tried also. Nothing.

Been away from mud for awhile but the two boards MudRev and this one both are not responding. Things never seem to change.

You have no clue what you are talking about Furrene. Yes I agree most BBS's posted in this section are mediocre BBS's that don't stick around very long because of Sysops who dont know what they are doing.. But Do you really think I would talk all this crap if my BBS was a mediocre POS that was 'fly bye' ... I think your a 'fly bye' Mud User.

sigh.. miles.. grow up.. I don't know for sure, but yeah, it seems this board has gone kaput.. IMO it wasn't ready to open up anyhow, but was fun while it lasted. ;) That's one thing most people don't think about, this is supposed to be fun and granted most boards posted have a very short lifespan, but it's a game, so get over it.
