Megamud Auto-Responses (WAS: ??Question??)

I pretty much have my board up and running. But I was on another board and the sysop had an npc that was sitting in the HOD if you sys'd in on low health you typed HEALME and got a super healing. Now I have tried to setup something like this in Megamud under message/response but it doesn't seem to want to work at all.

Does anyone have any idea of how or where I would set this up, or what I might have done wrong.



here are 2 of the things I tried to setup in megamud message/response.

message: {1} says "healme"

ends with:

response: mahe {1}

find in conversations: yes



i had things on morbid setup for the pvp realm where you could telepath a char for retrains and such:



message: {1} telepaths: @retrain

ends with:

response: sys god {1} retrain^M/{1} done.

find in conversations: yes

And the sysop who has this setup on his board is either being an asshole and doesn't want to share, because I have asked him and he said he couldn't find it in NMR???? Either that or he's really is just a fucking moron, because I asked him in message/response in mega.

either that, or you can set up a "monster" in it, and work it like the healer, only free, which is what the sysop could be referring to. BTW, just b/c someone doesn't sit there and give out info like mad, doesn'tmake them an asshole, keep in mind, sometimes ppl just don't want to be bothered with basic questions when you could just read the help files.

I read the help files and attempted to try the commands (I had pictures posted but removed them when I got it to work).





But the way I am doing it currently (the same way this OP did it) was to make another account and have it sit in the bank and give free healing. But I would love to try and make a true NPC.

I'd personally rather do it the NPC coding route, since if anything happens to freeze the megamud (we all know it happens) it'll lag the board out too. That, and it eats a connection, and can lower bandwidth depending on how you connect with it.
