OK, so I have worldgroup 3.20 and have TCP/IP setting to auto and it initializes just fine, but I try to connect to even my 127.0.0.1 address and says refused. try my ip adress and says connection timed out.. I read speedwhatevers post and that really didnt help.. My wg TCP/IP setting is at auto 255 users and what not sorry bout this but just trying to bust a free bbs for a couple friends and whoever

1) try to connect to your ip, not your localhost address

2) check your firewall settings windows or any 3rd party you have intalled

I can ping my ip address just fine but if I try to telnet to it I get connection timed out. not even using the firewall yet.. under a router atm. just want to get the telnet working then will go into precautionary measures

Did you setup telnet channels?? Look in your status window and see it's listening for telnet connections.

it says ready to service users, beyond that I dont know. does it give a actual statement "listening for telnet" or what ever?

ok then, either make sure the router FW is off, or make sure the incoming telnet port is forwarded to your pc (which might be the main issue)
