because i am and its been a very long time since ive done this stuff, but say i wanted a room to regen only kobold thieves. how would i do that?

use their group/index number and put it in the group and min/max parts on the room... make sure the room is set as lair. if another monster is using their same group/index number, copy it and change the new one's index to something that isn't already being used.

so if i wanted only kobold thieves to spawn in a particular room, then i would set it to group 1 and set the min/max index as 7 and 7?

If there are no other monsters using that group/index. If there is, copy the monster and change its index to something that isn't being used. You can get a list of all monster group/index numbers using nightmare.
