I can understand that. There's lots of reasons people go private. I knew you had a huge userbase and needed to cut things off. But sometimes I wonder if making a BBS Private is just a weak attempt to keep out the people who really care about fairness? The people I always see bitching like Artic, Ant, Moo, Splat, Ghalahad, ME, Etc etc, Are always bitching about BBS fairness, Ops, Sysops.. If you Shut them out, People script on, dont talk about it and that the end of that?

I don't know where people got the idea about me claiming you were a cheater in gossip. I enjoyed SinisterUrge for a while...Its a good board. Still, The Ninja items.. I mean, Cmon. Also, Other people I've talked to about you had some pretty bad stories about you and taking advantage.. Probably a long time ago when SinisterUrge was new.. So I didn't pay much attention.

Yes. They attacked my script, 3 on 1 with I'm guessing there other roomate or some BS lie... and imagine that, I died due to the immense Lag? And Yes, The Priest keeps the Lyricist alive, and They script areas twice as hard as either of them could possibly imagine scripting solo. As well as accomplish quests that Neither of them could do solo, LET ALONE, The dumb wife.

I am in my own realm simply to know what's going on, and to help users with questions and service them. I sit, I do nothing, I dont *PLAY* the game. The only thing I do is help my own Users. A Sysop who dosnt "Play" dosnt "Care." ... Right. How about a Sysop who "Cheats" dosnt "Care."
I don't know if Panterra actually plays a character, but Im sure he dosnt use his powers as an advantage. If your gonna play a Sysop character, why not start late? Why not let the other characters have a chance to get items first? Why not start late, then wait for the release of a secondary BBS that you can be in

As far as the downloading goes... like I knew I was gonna get 150 blank cd's for xmas when I reset and opened the board up. Sorry, but I'm not gonna buy a whole new computer just to run a game on... its my personal computer and I'll do whatever I wanna do on it. It was only for 2-3 days anyway, get over it. I started my board so I could have a place to play, because at the time when I started it, I was unaware of mmb, and the only edited board I knew of was Jerky when Seph took over it. I opened mine up and let people on so I'd have people to play with. If they wanna play, fine, come play... if they don't... fine, I don't care either way.

Alot of you dont know me (only been mudding a little over a year). I usually just stay in the background and watch what is going on around me but i thought id just say a few things. Sinister is a bad ass realm and a lot of work has gone into it. I dont play there anymore because of the lag (hopes it gets fixed soon). Someone said The Elven Mafia gang memebers are top because they kill bosses, but they use to be in another gang with Rex as there gang leader. Rex I got mad luv for ya man but when a sysop uses his powers to tell his gang if a boss is alive and when it was last killed and says its ok to do so i tend to disargree and your gang had all the good items from the start. Rex said he would tell anyone who wanted to know if a boss was alive but is that right? Some one said keep his Op account online and make a message/response to telepaths about bosses. He said it was to much work and i said "what if someone writes one for you and all you have to do is cut and paste" he said it was to much work for him so it was left at that. Shortly after Rex had some problems so he didnt play for awhile and everyone left the gang but by that time alot of his members were on the top. Yes i did try to get into the gang and yes i was rejected so i started up my own, made it to to the top 10 but that was from long hours at keys and lucky breaks here and there. Everyone flames Miles and yes i knew he was a prick at times in the pass and continues to be one to the people he doesnt like, but he runs one hell of a board (lags every once in awhile but not bad at all). I would say some more but i have to go somewhere for a bit so until then laterz.

Alot of stock items are ninja restricted too. Go bitch at metro for being unfair. 8 of my 16 items are stock items. None of the edited items are ninja only. Sure I get some of the ninja items, but when I'm done with them, I hand them off to non-gang members. I don't hoarde.
I guess it does take alot of balls to side with people who are ignorant and have never contributed to the mud community in any way, except being annoying enough to provide realms with a bit of pvp before they get themselves banned.
As far as my edited bosses go, why don't you look on my website like everyone else? Their regen times, what they drop, MAPS TO FIND THEM, hell even paths I made myself are on there for EVERYONE to use. I don't tell anyone how hard a boss hits, cuz I don't remember. I can only open nightmare once in between cleanups, and I'm not wasting my one use to tell someone how hard a boss hits. I tell em go find out themselves. Sys if ya get hit too hard.

I just found out today that miles' board has weapons with 75% stun? Whoa..don't bitch at other people about their realms when yours is lame enough to have weapons with 75% stun.

I have no grudge against Edge, or his BBS. He has good edits, but Im trying to prove some points, that obviously you are MISSING. The thread wasn't to diss his board(completely). If I recall in the past I've tooken some heat for making a minor comment towards SU unknowingly... but now that I know, I have the right to comment.
My Points: Sysop's that actively play in their own realm will always play a factor, and intervene. It's unfair to most users who aren't friends with the Sysop's. Notice: The Sysop's gangmembers and friends are usually at the top of the realm.

No, There is people I like, there is people I don't like. If you had'nt noticed MMB is a close community of friends that share alot of the SAME Opinions.. I never said Edge cheated, or anyone cheated for that matter. Does a Sysop have an advantage? Yes. Does Edge play a class with the most class-exclusive items? Yes. Do the people surrounding Edge have an Advantage? Shrug, You decide. Look at the top 10.

It's about what's fair. I've been playing MajorMUD for a LONG time now. And I enjoy nothing more then a good edited MajorMUD. The problem is, It's so hard to find a good realm now adays. One without cheating Sysops, one without an Incredible amount of bullshit, lag, or bad edits. Many, Many of my users have voiced there opinions to me about how hard it is to find a good realm. I see these realms with such great potential, then it turn's to shit one way or another. People are looking for a great place to play, and make a home. When the only answer you have for them is "Pack up and find another place to play." ... Pretty Soon, There is no place else to play. Then people start to settle for less. Maybe it just took this long for someone to speak up about it, because I don't care what anyone thinks about Me. Edited MajorMUD's aren't as fun for people who aren't friends with the Sysop and we all know it. Syntax has put togethor this Editor for complete power, and all anyone does with it is use it in their advantage. The possibility of a truley great realm is within the grasp of ANYONE - But anyone is too greedy to make it happen I guess.

My Points: Sysop's that actively play in their own realm will always play a factor, and intervene. It's unfair to most users who aren't friends with the Sysop's. Notice: The Sysop's gangmembers and friends are usually at the top of the realm.

My point wasn't to make SinisterUrge look bad. It's just surprising to me how much everyone is so righteouss about the BBS.. when it seems to ... Struggle.
As far as me looking bad. Do you think I give a fu*k what people on MMB think of me? Do you think I will feel honored if I have the respect of the MMB community? No, There is people I like, there is people I don't like. If you had'nt noticed MMB is a close community of friends that share alot of the SAME Opinions.. Someone else comes along and they get shunned. Lot's of the people I talk to, don't even bother to create an MMB account because they feel there opinions will be gangraped by the criticism of a plethora of half-wit opinions.
Most of these people feel that majority don't create very strong opinions for themselves and just jump on the band wagon. Why argue your point on MMB if your going to have an entire "gang" of people critisizing it? Sheep, Lemmings, Kiss-Asses = Exp, Money, Power.
Know who's in the Elven Mafia gang? Probably a lot of people who were friends and in the same gang while the board was private..ever think of that? Did you ever stop to realise that while the board was private, Edge wasn't the only person playing? There were others who played and know what things are, where to go, and the best ways to get up..maybe those are just some of the people

I never said Edge cheated, or anyone cheated for that matter. Does a Sysop have an advantage? Yes. Does Edge play a class with the most class-exclusive items? Yes. Do the people surrounding Edge have an Advantage? Shrug, You decide. Look at the top 10.
It's not losing Sinister Urge any users, it's not making anyone look bad or good.

It's about what's fair. I've been playing MajorMUD for a LONG time now. And I enjoy nothing more then a good edited MajorMUD. The problem is, It's so hard to find a good realm now adays. One without cheating Sysops, one without an Incredible amount of bullshit, lag, or bad edits. Many, Many of my users have voiced there opinions to me about how hard it is to find a good realm. I see these realms with such great potential, then it turn's to shit one way or another. People are looking for a great place to play, and make a home. When the only answer you have for them is "Pack up and find another place to play." ... Pretty Soon, There is no place else to play. Then people start to settle for less. Maybe it just took this long for someone to speak up about it, because I don't care what anyone thinks about Me. Edited MajorMUD's aren't as fun for people who aren't friends with the Sysop and we all know it. Syntax has put togethor this Editor for complete power, and all anyone does with it is use it in their advantage. The possibility of a truley great realm is within the grasp of ANYONE - But anyone is too greedy to make it happen I guess.
Think about it. The MajorMUD Community deserves it, don't you agree?

I would like to add my 2 cents, because I think I have alot to offer in this field. I really believe that too many sysops these days cheat. In one way or another. Maybe they just give retrains or something. But I think a bbs is best played when it is not interfered by sysops except for reasons like cleanups, problems with edits, ect. Sysops and Mudops alike, should NOT play, IMO. Some sysops play fairly, but MOST DO NOT.
Now, for my second point. There are SOME people with skill, BUT I'm sure that everyone here, has dealt with at least 1 person who has found, and decided to abuse a glitch. There are a great many possible glitches in mud, and a great many users to find/abuse them.
For my last point, I would VERY MUCH SO like to point out the fact that for some reason, people seem to think that Sysops should be above the rules, because its there bbs. THIS IS WRONG. If you open a bbs up to the public then you best figure out the damn rules, and play by them if you dont want people talkin shit and complaining. If you feel like being a cheating op, open a PRIVATE bbs. Sysops (if they are going to) should play by the same rules as everyone else. With the same abilities of everyone else. REGARDLESS of wether or not it is there bbs, there mothers bbs, or there dogs bbs.
