It's just Netmeeting, which comes preinstalled with most machines, without a webcam, with buddy lists... Probably lower quality, too. Hell, Yahoo has had perfect voice quality implemented directly in their IMs for a year now.

I do, and so does everyone else that I know long distance. I've seen this Skypes stuff elsewhere, and nobody has ever noticed nor found it odd that all this shit is included with XP or yahoo, both of which most people use.

I don't use XP, and I haven't used the yahoo voice feature in over a year.

If you're not going to use the Yahoo Voice feature, why be interested in Snypes? That's all I'm wondering.

blah dialpad started out free when it first came out. granted it's kazza and they just like pissing the big corporate moggles off. although if you could get rid of your existing phone and just someone call your computer and leave message that would be pretty nifty. Even though the phone company and cable company would just jack up broadband prices to compensate.
