New monster crashing bbs...

everything else i have made seems to be fine.. but there are these two monsters that (im assuming when they attack) crash the bbs. I get an Access violation: attempt to read from c3. Anyone know what or why this is? thanks...

Ok basically what the problem is, is the spell casting monsters... can someone tell me some of the things you can and cant have a monster cast? or at least what they would be casting that would cause access violations? thanks

Now im crashing when the board first comes up.. it crashes when i reach the part where its supposed to say Greetings USERID, glad to see you back again.. so it isnt mud crashing the bbs now.. i have no clue what is going on now. I get an acess violation error that says attempt to read from 54. which dosent mean shit to me. Any suggestions?

attempt to read from XX never means anything. it can change all the time. the XX is usually either a memory address or a file offset or value of some sort. either way, you cant go by that. what i would try and do is disable mud as a module and see if the bbs loads.

check your attack / miss msgs on them last mobs you put in , mine was doing exactly the same thing lastnight cause i changed on single %s , when it loaded up the update it crashed , or when the mob attacked.

The problem seemed to be inside one of the text blocks after logon and not a mud problem. I restored from a wg backup and then restored mud from the backup i did about an hour before.. so all worked well. Only thing i dont understand is why some monsters casting spells crash the board.. Is there a message or ability that I am missing when I try to have a monster cast say.. forked lightning or something. i think it happens mostly with room spells though.

Yea I have to double check those.. they are really sweet monsters too i dont want to have to remove them :)
